RESUMate is an easy program to learn and to use, but any software can seem daunting when you’re first getting started. We’ve tried to make it as easy as possible to understand RESUMate by breaking the program down into a few simple concepts. All of this information is publicly available; you DO NOT need to be a licensed RESUMate customer to see it.

Getting Started

If you're new to RESUMate this is the place to start. Illustrated step-by-step instructions take you through the basics. You can view interactive tutorial videos or print out PDF guides; either method takes about 10 minutes.

Free online seminars

Each month, we offer 15 FREE online seminars that meet at Noon, Eastern time, USA. Click the Series titles below to see complete class descriptions, plus the entire schedule of seminars for the months of January, February, and March, 2010.

The Basic Series teaches you how to customize your RESUMate screens and keyword list, how to create records automatically from any text resume, how to do searches, and finally how to track candidates through the interview and hiring process.

The Advanced Series covers importing and exporting records, creating reports, creating a one-click daily plan, and sending bulk e-mails.

The Recruiter’s Tool Kit Series covers Internet research starting from RESUMate records, marketing candidates without a job order, creating reports from RESUMate Manager, and building a database quickly using the Import Express feature.

These sessions are FREE, but class size is limited. Any RESUMate user will benefit from these sessions. You do not need to have the current version (RESUMate 11) to participate.

Push F1 from any screen in RESUMate to access our comprehensive Help Guide. If you're on the search screen, pressing F1 will give you illustrated search help; if you're on the Options screen, pressing F1 will give you illustrated help for the Options screen; it works on every screen in RESUMate and is often the quickest way to answer a simple question.
