RESUMate SnapShot

When it comes to searching, no component of your RESUMate program plays a more important role than the keyword list called the Classification table. A good keyword list means better, faster, and above all, more complete search results.

RESUMate SnapShot is a simple utility program that shows exactly how your keyword list is being used in your database today. One click displays a list of every keyword in every column in your Classification Table, along with a count of the number of records in which this item has been selected. Counts can be seen for people, client, and job order records.

With RESUMate SnapShot you can:

(1) See an instant “inventory” of your client and candidate pool.
Instantly see how many candidates in your file have any job title, or skill, or were ranked as “A-level” candidates, or have any other attribute in your keyword list. Instantly see how many companies in your file use some specific technology, or offer a specific product or service. You can see the same record counts by doing multiple searches in RESUMate itself, but SnapShot provides an instant, invaluable overview of your entire database. It’s like doing hundreds of searches with a single click.

(2) Preview your search result in advance
A quick look at SnapShot is a great place to start before setting up a new detailed search in RESUMate itself. The overview you see here will give you a good feel for how many records you’re likely to find when you set up a search that combines several valid table items.

(3) Get a big head start when making changes to your Table.
SnapShot tells you at-a-glance exactly how your table is being used today. When making changes to the Table, you can print what you see in SnapShot, or export it to an Excel spreadsheet for further analysis. For example, in Excel, sort the Item column and see all items with the same or similar spelling from multiple columns.
